Finally Montana

We killed time by walking down to Portland’s famous River City Cycles. Unfortunately a pipe burst and flooded their shop. They tried to turn us away but Brent passed their serious cyclist quiz and got us all in for a quick looksie. The downpour on the way home acclimated us to the area. We harnessed our inner Sherpas and hoofed our bags to the train. We met up with Peter and I couldn’t resist his sales pitch so I bought his book.

Who knew our stop in Spokane would intersect with a street event “Hoopsters”. We grabbed a quick beer and re-wet our clothes in another cloudburst. We woke up early to get off the train in East Glacier and assembled our bikes. We are fueling ourselves with a hearty breakfast and huckleberry pie at the Luna cafe.
