First, we heard the train was delayed for 1 hour…a few minutes later they said 2 hours. We figured it’s time to go across the street to Union Ale for a pint. We decided to save the $4 per bag charge (4 bags each) and spend that on beer. We met Jack, a 188 pound Great Dane, that hated skateboards for some reason. I’d hate to be chased by Jack! We also walked around the corner and tried out the Figueroa Mt Brewery. The “hoppy poppy” was so tasty, Brent bought a growler to go for the train ride. The sleeping car is pretty comfortable. The sun just rose as we arrived in Redding, Calif.
