Cruising the Cape

Cape Cod that is. After a stop at the Italian deli called Manne’s, we left Revere and rode the ferry to go to Seaport which is a section of downtown Boston where we caught another ferry to P-town (Provincetown) which is the fist on the arm-shaped Cape. It reminded me of Solvang with the tourist shops. We enjoyed a beer at the local brewery and rode out to a monument that showed where the Mayflower landed a month before they landed at Plymouth Rock. I don’t remember learning that in school.

We rode down the “forearm” of the Cape on a nice bike path in order to get to our planned Wellfleet campground. Unfortunately it was closed. “Sorry folks, parks closed, the moose out front should have told you that” (Vacation movie reference). Oh well, we found a motel nearby.

Mileage log: Revere to North Eastham was 39 miles.
