You wouldn’t think Fairway Pizzeria would have a good breakfast but they did. We met a busker named Harrison playing his guitar outside. His tip jar was a toddler toilet – you can’t walk past that without noticing it.
We spent most of the day riding the Cape Cod Rail Trail. We enjoyed a pint at the Devil’s Purse brewery. We met a boisterous wedding party on e-bikes riding the trail.
Brent took a side trip for most of the day and enjoyed an Atlantic swim and Lebanese falafel sandwich at Charbel’s food truck in Harwich.
We setup camp at Shawme-Crowell Forest campground near the town of Sandwich and rode to the coast and ate dinner at a very popular Fisherman’s View restaurant. We met Janet, a fellow biker while getting back on our bikes. Thanks for the words of encouragement.
Mileage log: North Eastham to Sandwich was 50 miles.
