No, not the one in Montecito – the road we biked down next to the South Fork of Boise River. It had at least 10 hot springs. We stopped at two of them. Brent stopped at five. It was a relatively easy day because we were going downstream.
At the last minute, we noticed on the map there is a Twin Springs resort and store. A bit exaggerated but they did have beer, gatorades, snacks etc.
We met Graham from Boise, a mountain bike rider on a two day adventure cut short because of flat tires and bad inner tubes. We sat on the porch and watched a dozen hyper-active hummingbirds all fighting over the four hummingbird feeders furnished by Leon, the friendly store owner.
We continued on to Cottonwood Campground. Unfortunately it has no water faucet so we had filter from the stream again.
Next, Bob and I will ride to Idaho City up and over the biggest climb of the trip 4000ft. That’s the height of La Cumbre peak in SB. Brent decided on an extra day in Boise so he will take a direct route and skip Idaho City.
