Last day of riding

Sorry, My last post that I did on the train didn’t work. I’m not sure if it was a technology error or user error (me).
We got an early start to make sure we had enough time to catch our 4pm train in Albany that’s ~55 miles away allowing for extra time to navigate the backroads and maybe a flat tire. We rode 15 miles to the aptly named Mill City for breakfast. We then found some backroads and got a good look at farms, mills, and fruit stands. Steve’s back tire found a big bent nail that punctured 2 holes in his tube but we replaced the tube easily. We stopped at “Grandpa’s fruit stand” which seemed to be a hopping place on Saturday at noon. We arrived in Albany at 1pm and boxed up our bikes. The coach section was sold out because ~180 boy scouts were on a trip so we bought tickets for a room in the sleeping car. Nearby Depot cafe was a relaxing place to enjoy a beer and lunch and wait for the train.

  1. Hope the Boy Scouts were all ears ready to hear about your adventures! Or maybe they had better stories? Safe travels! All in all a great trip?
