Into Canada

Mark, the campground owner came over for a chat and told us he’s owned the campground for 32 years and suggested a short hike behind the campground to see the waterfalls. I had a flashback to 50 years ago when our family went on a cross country motorhome trip near here. My sisters journal says it was a mere 2 miles from here in Millbrook Vermont! How about that!

A breakfast in the ski town of Jay was fuel for climbing over the pass into Richford.

As you may remember, Brent had his own adventure and when we rendezvoused in Richford he told us all about it. He met a couple we had seen earlier in Waterbury. Dan, Shannon and Lenny their Labrador from Syracuse. He went on a pub crawl on Stowe Mountain and a tour of the Trapp Estate (of Sound of Music movie fame).

The border crossing was trouble free but slightly awkward because we all rode up together and answered her 20 questions taking turns amongst us. Mostly about itinerary, weapons, and drugs. Steve confessed to his oversize kitchen knife.
