Day 10: They call their town “Revy”

We arrived just in time to catch the 8:30am ferry. It wouldn’t be a big problem if we got the 9:30 ferry but we took it as a challenge to be there with 1 minute to spare.

Max, a friendly motorcyclist asked us if we wanted some of his mother in laws homemade cookies. Of course!

The ride into Revelstoke was odd because it would only have traffic when the ferry would unload then 30 to 40 cars/trucks would pass us.

Since I didn’t have a phone yet, I used my Garmin bike computer to navigate since we often get separated because of riding speeds. The lady in the convenience store looked at me funny for a moment when I asked for directions to our hotel (the Grizz) because nowadays almost everyone uses their phone.

I tried to find a phone but this is too small of a town apparently. The Best Buy Express store only has phones on a plan (no “unlocked” phones. He suggested “RevyTech” repair shop to see if they had any used phones but they only had an older used iPhone 14 for $700.

We enjoyed a beer and taco at Taco Club and met other people around town and noticed this place has a lot of Aussies living here. Our waitress explained why she was here…she wanted to learn to snowboard.

After we did our well overdue laundry in the hotel, we explored the town and listened to live music in the downtown plaza. We even saw some more Hell’s Angels (this time their jackets said “Quebec City”
