We rode up the steepest tallest hill of the trip. The real tough part was on the way down because it was an ATV trail that apparently was closed on the top portion because a bridge broke.
Things were going great then on the last 5 miles of the ride my iPhone decided to break free of its handlebar mount. Murphy’s law is that I had it in airplane mode because it conserves battery and there is no cell phone signal back there. I spent 3 hours backtracking and looking for it. I even got help from 2 friendly loggers that gave me a ride to the top of the hill.
This is the first time I lost my phone since 1993
