Day 3: Bye Bye Bellingham Bob

Le Clerc Road had lots of dogs chasing us to keep us on our toes. The thing that worries me is that after they chase us, I hope a car doesn’t come along.

We stopped at Panhandle park for a nice snack stop. We were lucky enough to see a bald eagle fly right above us through the trees. Even though it was only a few seconds it was very cool.

Ione Public House was our lunch stop. We were the only tourists in the place. The waitress called out Brent for “schlocking around” when he was supposed to order.

Outside the market where we resupplied we met the dutch couple, Harry and his wife (I can’t remember her name). They were riding from Argentina to the Arctic Circle in Canada. Wow – that’s impressive. I asked him what’s the worst thing to happen – he said he got sick for 5 weeks from a parasite in Bolivia. YIKES!

I think this is the first time I’ve stayed in a campground that was built and run by a dam/electric company. We took a walk around the place to explore. See photos.

Today we cross the border into Canada at Nelway. Wish us luck!

Thank you Bellingham Bob for joining us and telling us stories and listening to Dragnet radio show. It was great hanging out with you!
