Day 22: We made it to Vancouver!

Fort Langley was much less crowded now that most of the tourists have gone home. Saba cafe was yummy for sure.

Similar to my experience riding into most big cities, it’s an obstacle course of confusion with some inevitable re-dos.

Vancouver was bustling with mid-day traffic but we finally made it to our celebration beer and lunch stop at Steamworks restaurant.

We zig-zagged over to enjoy some fancy soft-serve ice cream and the sensory overload of people watching.

We stopped by a e-bike shop to research Brent’s wifes (Bonnie) possible conversion project which was fascinating.

I was in charge of lodging and I happened to spot a B&B which was surprisingly a decent value given we could all share the same suite and get a full breakfast.

For dinner we followed the recommendation of our volunteer remote concierge (Brent’s sister). Thanks Claudia!

Cam the restaurant owner was friendly and the dinner was very tasty.

The ride was 40 miles.

Stay tuned for our next adventure of train ride to Seattle and bike boxing for the airline.
