Day 13: Kelowna means female bear

?The Kelowna rail trail was an awesome surface and we even had a tailwind to make riding even easier.

We ate breakfast in Lumby at Sisters cafe. It seems like more and more places you order at the counter. Maybe it’s my imagination.

Just outside Kelowna we stopped to have a beer and pretzel at Railway brewery. Brent negotiated 3 slices of pizza for two dollars per slice to a friendly local lady named Alison that had a large pizza to herself. Go Brent!

Kelowna is way bigger than I thought – apparently 144,000 population. Lots of tourists here, especially at the waterfront.

We had some fancy pizza on the promenade on Bernard Street in downtown Kelowna. The hostel was pretty decent because we had a four bed room to ourselves.

Our next camping spot is in the tiny town of Summerland. It looks to be about the same size as the Santa Barbara Summerland.
