It was easy to rejoin the bike path because it runs right through our campground. This bike route to Montreal that we’ve been on for 2 days about 50 miles is probably the longest city bike path I’ve ever ridden on.
Because it’s Sunday, the first place we chose for breakfast was too good. I.e. “nobody goes there anymore it’s too popular”
We went to a sports bar instead. The problem was after we ate they told us they didn’t take credit cards (only debit cards— and the kicker not american debit cards….uh-oh. Luckily Brent emptied his wallet with just enough Canadian cash.
We rode past the canal locks in Chambly which was neat.
The bridge into Montreal was loud and crowded but the view up high was great. My first impression of Montreal is eclectic and avant garde and very diverse. Definitely different than Toronto and Quebec City.
The hostel was cool and had character. It’s on the plateau part of town.
We enjoyed our walk to old town and had a tasty pizza and beer and walked the old town promenade.
45 miles we rode.
