Boris woke me up with his wet nose. Boris is their newest rescue dog.
It turns out that Vermont maple syrup tastes even better when you put it on home-made french toast made from eggs and bacon from the farm in Vermont. Thanks George and Jane and Ben!
Bob had brake problems but after some roadside cleaning and adjusting we were able to continue.
With our delicious breakfast behind us, we finally faced our day of riding in the rain.
Even though it was raining I just had to try a maple soft-serve ice cream the locals call a āmaple creemeeā. I had trouble finding a place the last several days because itās out of season.
Our lunch stop was in the tiny town of Irasburg where the clerk let us eat inside. A few hills later we reached our campground just north of Lowell, VT.
Tomorrow we cross into Canada to rendezvous (french word) with Brent again.
We rode 33 wet miles.
